Frontman Chris Martin told Rolling Stone that he christened this song and the album "Viva la Vida" - meaning "long live life" or more literally, "the life lives" - after he saw the phrase on a painting by Mexican artists Frida Kahlo. He explained: "She went through a lot of s--t, of course, and then she started a big painting in her house that said 'Viva la Vida.' I just loved the boldness of it."The movie Frida, starring Salma Hayek, is about her life. You can see the painting that inspired the title in .Both this and "" debuted in the Top 40 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart for week ending May 24, 2008. It is a rare feat for an act to have two songs debuting in the same week.This song was released exclusively on iTunes, and was featured in a commercial for the music-download service that showed stylized images of the band performing the song. The spot hyped the song nicely, presenting the name of it at the end - helpful since the title doesn't appear in the lyrics.Bassist Guy Berryman explained to Q magazine July 2008 about this song that features lyrics about cavalries, missionaries and kings: "It's a story about a king who's lost his kingdom, and all the album's artwork is based on the idea of revolutionaries and guerrillas. Ser Nancine：在Wonders of Thedas shop，可以偷，或者说服她死获得她的剑，或说服她买一件衣服，让她甲抢剑。
Master Tilver：北面靠近Mages' Collective，他有一个市场北面的箱子钥匙和2个警卫，如果你的隐身技能高，你可以偷钥匙。或者说服警卫让你过去。第三种选择是买通警卫。钥匙可以开那2个箱子。
Seneschal：seneschal的王冠在Gnawed Noble Tavern，有守卫看着，使用下列方法之一通过：
买些dwarven spirits灌醉他们
使用毒药制作毒饮料搞残警卫
说服或贿赂女服务员和警卫纠缠

Lady Sophie's Room：在Gnawed Noble Tavern，需要Deft Hands 天赋的人开锁Sophie's room的门，silm会加奖。
Warehouse：有士兵守着，干掉可以在箱子得到silver bars
Bann Franderel's Estate：你要能进入宫殿区，收到breakin，用自己的进去Franderel的宝库（这恰巧是空的），然后干掉警卫走出回来。
Bann Franderel's Estate：你离开市场区silm会给你这个任务，使用Stealth进去偷走宝库偷走Tears of Andraste。
Something Wicked
起始：跟Ser Otto对话（ Elven Alienage ）
过程：otto希望您能帮助他找到一些线索。环顾附近孤儿院的4个线索（野狗，死狗，一名精神错乱的乞丐，和血迹），然后保护otto洁净孤儿院，干掉恶魔。

A Gift of Silence/Justice Must Be Served
起始：抵抗了Redcliffe夜袭后在Denerim 市场区接受
过程：你用10个lyrium potions去买通Redcliffe的Knight-Commander Harrith，如果出现了问题， 你可以把Justice Must Be Served"报告送给D城的Knight-Commander Tavish ，但仍需要10个lyrium potions，可以买通的一方帮助你完成 "Defending the Collective" 。

过程：带3个termination notes到3个学徒处，他们在D城Wonder of Thedas shop，D城Fayd ，Orzammar正门。

Thy Brother's Killer
起始：Lake Calenhad Docks
过程：在East Brecilian Forest 打ogres那里清好怪，退出后在进入树林，然后发现4个黑暗法师在做仪式，干掉后完成任务。
An Admirable Topsider
起始：在Caridin's Cross 找到Genlock Emissary尸体上的Topsider's Hilt
过程：然后在Ortan Thaig的Ruck's cave找到Topsider's Pommel，检查Ortan Thaig南端的一个战士的墓碑，然后到Dead Trenches在一个尸体得到Topsider's Blade，返回战士墓碑得到奖励。
起始：在Orzammar 找到3个血痕
过程：一个在Aeducan Thaig，2个在Caridin's Cross的过道，Bag of Limbs，Torso in a Bag和 Head in a Bag，带他们到Ortan Thaig的Altar of Sundering，可以选择召唤Fade出来开打拿xp还是不打拿奖励。
Caged in Stone
起始：调查Royal Palace的石板
过程：检查石板后，让你的主角停在这里，选择"Advanced"的"Hold Position"，然后让其他2个队员去箭头标注的地方，然后最后的队员在大厅南部的石板去，然后切换回你的主角再次调查石板，龙就会出现，杀之可得Ageless sword，带着插去Altar of Sundering，fade就会出现，杀之。
The Chant in the Deeps
起始：和平民区的Brother Burkel对话
过程：Burkel希望你和Shaper of Memories谈谈在这建教堂的事，在Shaperate可以找到他，可以说服或者恐吓他同意建教堂。
The Dead Caste
起始：在Dead Trenches 的尸体找到4个 Legion piece
过程：要在Dead Trenches找4个codex：
靴：在房间里的石棺向左到桥附近和darkspawn打斗的地方。手套：在一个房间里石棺对面第一个喷火矮人雕像的陷阱里。胸甲：北部边缘Hurlock Emissary的房间。头盔：Trenches东面，Legionnaire Shrine的神坛里。
然后去干掉Broodmother检查arcophagus，把其带回到Shaperate。
The Drifter's Cache
起始：在Caridin's Cross 找到4个piles of rubble
过程：直接找就可以了
Exotic Methods
起始：Orzammar Royal Palace 的Herbalist Widron（投靠Bhelen）
过程：在palace西面见到Widron，带给其4个elfroots，2 lifestones，1flask，2 concentrator agents 。
The Gangue Shade
起始：获取全部Legion的装甲
过程：穿上Legion of the Dead armor（需要42strength），然后到Dead Trenches 检查Broodmother附近的Legion of the Dead relic，然后召唤出Gangue Shade，杀掉之。
The Golem Registry
起始：找到和Anvil of the Void 同室的golem registry
过程：找到后带回Shaper
Jammer's Stash
起始：在Carta Hideout 找到Jammer的日记
过程：找到日记后（在西北房间南边的doorman's room），然后会引导你去Jammer，Kanky， Pique 的箱子。

过程：她儿子Ruck失踪了，然后在Ortan Thaig可以见到，但他逃走了，后来可以北面山洞找到他，然后安抚他，同意告诉他妈妈骗她死了。
Of Noble Birth
起始：矮人起源故事的时候和Mardy 有一个私生子。
过程：如果你是矮人贵族，和MardyOOXX后，当你在回这里，找Mardy她会告诉你儿子是casteless，然后是看你帮Harrowmont还是Bhelen，然后可以让你儿子入住他们的房间，如果是已经成为国王后，就不能了。
Precious Metals
起始：和dust town的Rogek对话（身上有50G）。
过程： Rogek想卖一些Lyrium卖给你倒手到法师塔，可以杀价到40，然后到法师塔找godwin（可以卖65）。
Proving After Dark
起始：Proving Grounds 的Proving Armsman
过程：同意Armsman的建议，准备2轮4个敌人的攻击，第一轮是1个血法加3个战士，第二轮是 Dust Town thug，champion和2个战士。
The Shaper's Life
起始：检查Shaperate 的Wall of Memories
过程：检查Wall of Memories，找到3个rune stones，平民区的Mines Commander，Caridin's Cross 东南面洞穴，Dead Trenches桥东面的室内。然后会Wall of Memories。
Thief in the House of Learning
起始：与Shaperate Shaper Assistant Milldrate对话
过程：Shaperate的tome被盗了，在dust的Shady Corebit问到证据，然后到 Proving Grounds找Fixer Gredin拿"A Volume of Shaper History"，然后把书还给 Assistant Milldrate 。
An Unlikely Scholar
起始：和平民区的Dagna对话
过程：必须先完成"Broken Circle"主线任务，和I大官说Dagna想学，他同意，如果I官人死了是Greagoir的话会拒绝，然后回去告诉Dagna就好了。
Zerlinda's Woe
起始：Dust Town 的Zerlinda
过程：Zerlinda的父亲不太喜欢她，去Tapster's Tavern找她爸爸，告诉他不让其回来的话她就会死了，如果他不带她回来就去说服他，或者说服她去surface，如果你已经完成"The Chant in the Deeps"，Brother Burkel 会照顾她，也可以说服她离开Deep Roads的孩子。
完成起源故事后进入营地，就可以启动此线路
The Hungry Deserter
遇到一个逃兵，和他对话给他食物可以拿到钥匙，完成"Tainted Blood"和"Grey Wardens' Cache" 后可以开箱子。

起始：和教堂的Kaitlyn对话
过程：出教堂去和Kaitlyn的家，右边的柜子中找到她的儿子藏匿在衣服里，说服或恐吓他给2楼的箱子的钥匙和The Green Blade，记得读codex，回去k那里交任务。
起始：和tavern的Bella或Lloyd对话
过程：对他们提起Berwick，看看酒馆里有没有这个人或者偷信得知他是L城的间谍，L妹或基佬都会帮你，然后逼他加入L城民兵。
A Stiff Drink to Dull the Pain
